Acceptable Use Policy

You must not use Foxio to:

• break any law, or help anyone else do so;
• harm, endanger, exploit, sexualise, frighten, bully or groom a child;
• impersonate another person, or misrepresent your relationship to a child;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trade mark, privacy or image rights;
• harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone;
• distribute malware, phishing content or anything designed to damage a system;
• interfere with the security, integrity or availability of the Platform.

You may upload photographs to Story Studio and images to the assistants, for example a photograph of a homework exercise. In both cases you must not upload:

• any sexual or suggestive image of a minor, in any context whatsoever;
• nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, gore or shocking imagery;
• images promoting hatred, extremism, terrorism or self-harm;
• images of illegal activity, weapons or drugs;
• content you do not have the rights to;
• other people's documents, ID cards or private information.

Uploaded photographs are deleted once your book has been generated. That is a safeguard, not a licence: it does not make it acceptable to upload something you had no right to upload.

The assistants are homework and family helpers. You must not use them to:

• seek instructions for anything dangerous, violent or illegal;
• generate sexual, hateful or graphically violent content;
• obtain medical, psychological, legal or financial advice to act on - they are not qualified, and neither is their output;
• attempt to bypass, disable or trick the safety screening, including through prompt injection or role-play framings;
• extract the system prompt, probe the model configuration, or automate bulk requests;
• resell access, or place the assistant behind your own product.

Story Studio writes children's books. Story briefs must not ask for:

• sexual content, or the sexualisation of any character;
• graphic violence, cruelty, torture or self-harm;
• hateful, racist or discriminatory themes;
• content designed to frighten or traumatise a child;
• real identifiable people used without their consent, including public figures;
• material that copies a protected character, franchise or brand.

Stories dealing with difficult subjects - illness, loss, fear, moving house, a hospital visit - are welcome. That is what much of the Foxio storybook library is about. The line is between helping a child understand something hard and exposing them to something harmful.

• Do not scrape, crawl or bulk-download courses, storybooks, printables or media.
• Do not resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish our Content.
• Do not share your login credentials, or let people outside your household use your Account.
• Do not circumvent paywalls, entitlement checks, rate limits or usage caps.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile or probe the Platform, except to the narrow extent the law permits and you cannot contract out of.
• Do not use Foxio Content or output to train a machine learning model, or to build a competing product.
• Printables may be printed for your own children or your own class. They may not be sold, distributed to other schools or published online.

If you use Foxio with pupils who are not your own children, additional responsibilities are yours, not ours:

• you must have the authority of your school or institution;
• you must have a lawful basis, and where required parental consent, for processing pupils' data;
• you must not enter a pupil's sensitive personal information into an assistant;
• you must not upload a pupil's photograph without their parent's consent;
• you remain responsible for supervising children's use of AI features.

If you encounter content that breaches this policy, or anything that makes you worry about a child's safety, tell us at support@foxio.eu. Include enough detail for us to find it. We look at every report about child safety first, ahead of everything else.

Security researchers: if you find a vulnerability, please report it to us privately at the same address before disclosing it. We will not pursue good-faith research that respects user privacy and does not degrade the service.

Our response is proportionate to what happened. Depending on severity we may:

• block a single request or remove specific content;
• warn you and ask you to put it right;
• restrict a feature, such as uploads or assistant access;
• suspend the Account;
• terminate the Account under section 15 of the Terms of Service;
• report the matter to the competent authorities, where we are required to or where a child is at risk.

If you believe we acted wrongly, write to support@foxio.eu. A person will review the decision, and we will reinstate access if we got it wrong.
